To restore power to the fuel pump, the fuel pump has a safety inertia switch that shuts off the electric fuel pump, if your Explorer is in a collision . If the switch is tripped , and you don't see gas leaking or smell gas , push the button down on top of the switch to reset it , that will restore power to the fuel pump.
