Dipstick Shaft Repair. The Shaft Came Off The Engine Block Somehow.

Most oil dipsticks just set into the engine block, so it should be easy to replace it. It may be held in place with a bolt and a bracket, but the shaft just has a gasket to hold it tight in the hole.
If the shaft is too damaged to use, eBay might be a good place to find one. RockAuto is also an excellent website for hard to find parts like this one.
