Wandering In Strait Road Like Driving In Gusty Side Winds

does ford have too much power steering fluid pressure with worn pump? have replaced all front ball joints all joint ends 2 different align spects, goodyear tires, have not replaced steering pump or box.  all steering shaft joints appear tight. all rear suspencion points seem good.  going round curve is fine.  always have to correct on straight's, very anoying. have talked to severial other crown vic owners they have same problem.

I would guess that you have a worn Pitman arm or possibly a worn idler arm. They will both cause your car to wander if they have too much play in them.

I had a bad idler arm in my 98 Grand Marquis, but it was easy to figure out. It made a banging sound when I made a hard right turn. But if your idler arm isn't that worn, it may not make any sound.

I would go with the bad Pitman arm first. You might be able to tell if you raise the front of the vehicle off the ground and turn the wheels left and right. If the wheels don't turn immediately when you turn the wheel, you have too much play in one or the steering components. 

It could also be a worn out steering box, but I'd replace the Pitman and idler arms first.
