Is The Transmission Capable Of Towing A 18' Travel Trailer?

what is its towing capablitys?

It depends on your engine and rear axle ratio. You can look it up in the owner's manual. The range is from 1.920 to 6,460 pounds so there's a big spread. And you'll need to reduce the weight by 2% for every 1,800 feet in elevation for high altitude operation. And you'll need a weight distributing hitch for towing a trailer that weighs over 2,000 pounds.

If you are planning to rent a trailer, I think that U-Haul still bans Ford Explorers from pulling their rental trailers.
