My Car Won't Start

The car has been sitting maybe a week sense I bought it, it started perfectly fine a few days ago and now it won't start. There's a clicking but the car doesn't even turn over. I think it could be the battery but i would like a secondI opinion from someone more knowledgable.

Remove the cables from the battery and scrape off any corrosion on them with sandpaper or a screwdriver. Tighten them back up and see if it starts. Be sure to put the negative cable on the negative post and the positive cable on the positive post.

If that doesn't work, remove and clean the connections to the starter. Just be sure that the negative battery cable is disconnected before you work on the starter. Replace the wires and see if that solves it.

If neither of those things solve the problem, then I would have the battery checked at your local auto parts store.

Your starter may also be the problem, but that would be the last thing I replaced.
