Why Has Facebook Been So Slow Lately

Lately facebook has been so slow and if any of my friends have google chrome we can chat for about 5 minutes and no more..I have dialup they have Chrome. Other friends have dialup we can chat other friends have high speed just not chrome and we have no problem. This has been since the last 3 weeks.

Chrome is a web browser. Dial-up is a type of internet connection. While Chrome is supossedly the "fastest" web browser, and dial-up the most antiquated connection type, they are entirely unrelated. I use Google Chrome most frequently and connect to the internet via Broadband (DSL) with a 5MB/s maxium allowable download rate. This rate can be faster that 5MB/s but is often slower due to network traffic, among other variables. I have also been experiencing slow page loads, specifically with Fabebook, while using Chrome, Internet Explorer 10, and Mozilla Firefox. Thus ruling out a browser-related issues that can be caused by unclearned termporary data, cache, and cookies.

In summation, I believe the slow response of the FB server is simply due to it's over-extended use and volume of traffic, combined with imporperly configured scripts.

What does this mean to you and I? Not a damn thing, nothing you can do about it. Frustratingly slow, yes, I know. But there really is no solution if clearing your browser data, or switching browers entirely, has done nothing to solve this for you.

try to login to a different browser. If it still persist clean/ delete your cookies and restart your pc
