why someone is showing first on my mesenger favorite list who i never chat?

Out of many friends, there are friends that are on my favorite chat list. I didn't add them or something, but facebook itself automatically added them on it. It's pretty nice that facebook does that because they are mostly people who i chat most.
However, some friends are people i never talked to. Why is that?
Is that because they visited my page?
