How To I Get Access To A Facebook Account That I Keep Being Told Doesnt Exist.

I have 2 Facebooks accounts One is the account I use. When I got a new cell phone and tried to access to the account I was unable to, but could access the other account that I don't use and dont have my friends on. HOw do I get access to the primary account ( and get rid of the one I dont use) I tried deactivating the account but it still didnt let me access the one I wanted.
