How To Transfer My Facebook Account From One Phone To Another

When I activated my new phone I thought my Facebook account would be the same but now I have two separate accounts. How can I make my desk site account and mobile account the same.

Usually you can link a new mobile number to your facebook account while you are on the desktop/laptop. Unfortunately, you can not currently link your number to your correct facebook account since it is already on the other account created in error.

Thus, The account you set up on your mobile phone will need to be closed.

There are a couple of things you can do to accomplish this:

Log off your mobile account. If you are not familiar with logging off of your facebook on a mobile device, please follow the steps on here

Let a Facebook rep know what occurred and the phone number belongs to you. This is explained in detail at the following Facebook help page located here Once you have reviewed the help page you can use the 'Let us know' link to fill out and submit the correct form to facebook. (Link is in blue and within the first paragraph)

Your mobile number should be unattached to the account made in error within 48 hours.

You verify this by trying to enter your mobile number on your Facebook account. If it is accepted you will receive a confirmation text asking you to reply if this is the number you added to your account. If not you may want to send Facebook another message.
