Lately I got to know that there is a temporary deleting option for Facebook. How long can you temporarily delete Facebook? What will my friends see if I deactivate Facebook? How to perform it?

Let me answer the questions one by one:

Facebook Waits 14 Days Before Deleting Account. When you deactivate your Facebook account, Facebook does not send out any notification whatsoever. Your friends won't know that you've deactivated your account unless they try to search for your now-deactivated profile or they ask you in the real world.

To deactivate:

From your main profile, click in the top right of Facebook.

Select Settings & privacy, then click Settings.

Click Your Facebook information in the left column.

Click Deactivation and deletion.
