Someone's Posted My Phone Number Under Their Contact Info & I'm Getting Spammed!

I bought a new cell phone. Apparently the previous owner of that number has a facebook account and still has my number listed as their number. Because of this, I'm getting notifications everytime someone posts to their wall or sends them a friendship request. It has become troublesome and tiresome as now my cell phone rings all day and all night because of these spam notices of updates from facebook. How can this be fixed when it is facebook sending these messages?
