Not Receiving Reset Codes

I've recently purchased a new mobile phone. In the process of setting up my apps on the new device. Facebook password was forgotten. Went to website and clicked on forgot my password. Selected the option to send verification code to my cell....no code sent. Retried process instead attempting to send code to my email...no code sent. Is Facebook broke? Why are they not sending me the codes I am requesting
