Many Facebook users/members are furious they are being asked for personal information, especially financial information, like credit card and mobile phone information. Mobile phones can receive charges in place of a credit card. Facebook has no right to ask us for this information. It is an invasion of privacy and many people are so frustrated, they are leaving Facebook, because they cannot post to groups or access games without getting this pop-up asking them for credit card or mobile phone info. The pop-up blocks them unless they give out this information, which they refuse to do. It is my understanding that Facebook is asking for this information only from members who use a mobile phone device, such as an I-Pad for Facebook. Not sure if they plan to charge them for it, but it sure sounds that way. At any rate, Facebook owes it's users an explanation. I have noticed posts on the Facebook help area, where people are asking about this. Doesn't seem to get resolved and no one from Facebook responds. Aside from the useless help question forum, where other Facebook users respond, there is no way to contact Facebook directly to make inquiry or complaints about this, or where you might actually get a response from Facebook about this. Guess Facebook didn't learn anything before when people were mad about their personal information being shared with outside 3rd parties. This is going even further than that and is more invasive. Someone started a group on Facebook called "No to Facebook request for credit card and mobile phone" You might want to check it out.
