Deactivated / Deleted Account

How can I tell if a acount has been deactiveated or deleted? My daughter told me she deleted it but i have read if you just deactivate it you can always sign back in. If it was only deactiveated is there a way I could see any of the last posts?

If it was deactivated but not deleted, signing in will reactivate it and give the user unrestricted access. If it was deleted no access is possible.
