Use Of Account

MY DAUGHTERIN LAW HAS RECENTLY LET HER SON USE THE ACCOUNT TO PLACE A GAME, WHEN SHE WENT TO GET MONEY OUT OF HER BANK ACCOUNTS TODAY SHE NOTED THAT THE FUNDS WERE LOWER THAN SHE HAD EXPECTED. HER SON HAS BOUGHT ITEMS ON FACEBOOK FOR THIS GAME - THE AMOUNT THAT THEY HAVE TAKEN SINCE 05/07/2011 AND TODAY IS OVER £600, CAN SHE DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS??

Not likely since the purchases were legitimate purchases. 

Facebook will be of little use in this matter and I am responding to this from a 3rd party help site so I do not have the ability to do anything beyond provide suggestions.

This is a common issue.  Children should never be allowed on a site to play on-line games unsupervised for any reason.  Not only can they rack up large costs for game related purchases but also predators lurk on these sites and can prey on unsuspecting kids.

Your daughter must contact the game developers directly to determine if she can get any sort of refund.  Facebook is a middle man and will not help in this.

And make sure the child no longer has access to an account with a credit card linked to it.
