I Just Got My Friends Old Phone. How Do You Deactivate Their Facebook?

I gather your issue is that you'd like to use your friend's phone number for login.

Deactivating your friend's Facebook account (unless it's deleted) wouldn't help, because until the account is deleted, that phone number cannot be used for a different login.

The best solution is for you to sign up with an email address as login (not a phone number).

Of course, your friend can delete his/her Facebook account, by after logging in pressing the Submit button on the deletion page. Deletion of an account cannot later be reversed.
