Would Like My Group Postings To Stop Showing Up In The News Feed To All My Frien

I have went to the "group" application settings: went into edit settings; made the privacy "Only me" and then went to additional permissions and clicked off: groups have permission to publish to streams. Yet, anything I post to a group or do anything w/a group, still shows up. Help please!
