Fb Business Page: Can Not 'like' Things / Missing Friend Search Bar

I have a business page on FaceBook and I have 2 questions. 1. I the search bar to find friends is not there and I am not sure what to do to get that there (go to the settings)? 2. Since I am unable to search for anything, I am unable to "like" things (i.e. Plymouth, MI's Chanber of Commerce)
