Considering that facebook is a socializing tool, the only way it would RUIN relationships is if a person is addicted to it. In that sense, you can replace "facebook" with "drugs", "online games", and "alcohol overuse" and get the same result. That said, it isn't really facebook that is the problem, but those individuals who cannot stop themselves.
