Getting Back On Facebook After Cancelling It.

I quit facebook last year and kept getting notices that my information and setting preferences would be saved, in case that I wanted to come back to facebook in the future.   I tried to get back to facebook and now am told that they can't find my account. What can I do?

It's the fact that I put in the login info and password for Facebook, only to be told there was no evidence there was an account using my email address.

I have done it several times. When I deleted mine, I actually clicked on the "De-activate Account" button. So if that's what you did, here's what to do:
1. Go to www.facebook.com
2. Log in using your old email/password.
3. You will get a screen saying that you deactivated your account, and in order to reactivate it you have to send an email
4. Go to your email and click on the verification link.
5. You should be good to go!
