How Can I Close My Facebook Account

I recently had a family member change my profile kidnap my child and after the police arrested her and she was released she has now changed my profile photo to humiliate me and was ordered to have no contact with our family...being my family who helped with all computer problems, she knew all my passwords, and farmed my farmville,  I would like this account completely closed for good...please tell me how.

Go to the Account button in the top right hand corner. Scroll down to Account Settings. Once you are there go to Settings. Scroll down to the bottom and click the option that says Deactivate Account. Select the reason you want to deactive then click confirm. Hope this helps :)
