I believe there is a design flaw with the Electrolux EI28BS56IS ice maker. The free floating device that fills with new water to be made into new ice is free to sway and knock again cubes already in the ice tray. This blockage cause both a continuous knocking noise, plus spills water over onto the existing ice causing it to dam up and not dispense properly. If I clean the entire tray and start fresh, it work fine for a few days, until the ice tray fills and this issue occurs - from then on all I get is crushed ice since the ice dams are blocking the dispenser mechanism. I'm sure this happens to others also. If it could ever be redesigned to work properly it should be part of a recall fix from Electrolux. I've yet to hear anything about a fix for this - very disappointing.
