if you see an "E" and two digits, it means that the cooktop has detected a condition it needs to check. To help correct this, try the following recommendations:
• Reset the cooktop's main controls by turning the power to your cooktop off, and then back on,
• Be sure that the time of day is set. The time must be set in order for the cooktop to operate.
  • E31, commonly refers to an internal generator error in the left side cooking zone and that the generator control board needs replacing. Go here for a list of the parts.

If you continue to see the "E," record the number and turn the power supply back off. Then contact your dealer, installing agent, or authorized service provider, or contact Electrolux at 1-877-4 ELECTROLUX.

I hope this is helpful to you!
