Dc18 Brushes
The brush on my Dyson does not rotate all the time, it rotates for a while then stops and starts, is this right?

Check barrel brush at the location of where it connects with the end cap and internals. If it's used clean the barrels. They are very dusty be careful. GO OUTSIDE and "knock" it with your hand, or something dense that won't cause damage (I used the trashcan). Knock out all the buildup dust til clumps stop coming out.
Or better yet if you have time, the barrels themselves rinse fairly clean with room temperature water. Grease the ball joint if stripped.
