Dewalt 734 Planer Leaves Marks On The Wood From The 8 Knife Screws

Dewalt 734 Planer leaves marks on the wood from the 8 knife screwsWe have a Dewalt 734 in our shop. After installing a new set of non OEM blades, the planer started to leave marks on the surface of the wood in the exact location of the 8 knife hold down screws. We have reversed the knives and the same problem is still occurring.We installed a set of new Dewalt OEM blades and the same problem still occurs.

Why is my planer leaving grooves?

If the ridge runs across the board and is about 5 inches from the end, it might be snipe. Snipe is caused near the end of the board when the feed roller leaves the wood and the cutter head is still cutting. The loss of roller pressure causes a slight movement of the cutter head height and it cuts a tiny bit deeper.
