Avr-2800 Doesnt Recognize Svideo Inputs Or Out Tho Cables Are Fine

I have a well working AVR 2800 from denon with remote my problem tho is i cant seem to be able to send a laptop signal through the svideo ins cause it doesnt show on rec out other devices thru rca ins do work and show on out but svideo doesnt seem to be activ<ated or recognized what can I do thank you very much
