Dell 1510x Projector

My projector was in extremely great working order. It's only two years old, with very low lamp life (under 300 hours) and has been babied from day one. I haven't used it in almost five months, but when I hooked it up today to use it, it wouldn't load up past the initial "white Dell screen". Once powered on, I was unable to navigate, access the menu or even shut it off. Normally, it should power on, the dell screen should display for a few seconds, then a blue screen should appear, at which point I can select the input mode, or if a device is already hooked up, it should recognize it and an image should display shortly thereafter. I have tried many different input methods, (TV, Laptop, component cable, HDMI, etc.) alternating sequences and everything in between to get it past the first screen... but have had no luck at all. When hooked up to my digital cable box via HDMI, the projector will play audio.. I have removed/checked the lamp, just to be safe, but I'm sure that's not the problem. Once the projector is on, I have tried holding the power button, and/or the menu button for different lengths of time, but I am unable to do anything and ultimately pull the power supply to shut the unit down. I have contacted Dell and will more than likely have to send it in to be serviced, but since my warrarty has already expired, I figured I'd try reaching out to the online community as a last-dich effort before dropping any amount of cash.
