Is the tab on the bottom of the metal plate slightly bent? There's a slot on the inside edge of the case which that tab needs to go into.
You can also often move the plate slightly in relation to the card if you slacken the screws in the sockets, the hollow hexagonal ones that the screws on the leads screw into.
