Amber Light Above Mouse Pad

Inspiron n5110.an amber light has appeared above the mouse pad what is it for how do i turn it off?

NOTE: The Inspiron™ N5110 / 15R come with a Touch Pad status light which is lit when the touch pad is disabled.

To enable the touchpad you will need to go into the touchpad interface in the control panel. Once there you can enable the touchpad by clicking on Device select.
