Microphone And Speakers Are Not Working

Out of the blue my microphone and speakers are not working. not sure if my kids changed the settings, but not sure how to fix?

Hi bromfeld

Please follow the below mentioned steps that might help you:

1) Run the Windows Audio Playback Diagnose and Repair from the below MS FIX-IT : http://bit.ly/JvQScV

2) Restore the computer to previous state. (Run System Restore): http://dell.to/opfa8C

3) Download and Install the Latest Audio Drivers and BIOS from the below mentioned link. Please select your operating system before installation :

4) Try to connect good known head phones or external speakers.

5) Open Dell support center, click on custom test and run diagnostics on System Speaker / Audio Test.

Please revert back with the results.
