Black Screen On Startup

My Inspiron N5050 goes to a black screen on startup. I ran the diagnostic and it discovered a memory error. I replaced the 4 gigs of RAM with 8 gigs and the black screen still exists. Ran the diagnostic again and all hardware is functioning properly.
