Can You Tell When The Caps Lock On Or Off
how do you know when the caps lock on or off?
ive got a dell inspiron n5010

Hi malcolm7787 ,
My name is Ajay s and I work for the Social Media and Community Team at Dell.I was going through the post`s ,found that your query was not answered.
On your Inspiron 5010 system there is no light to indicate if Caps light is on or off, instead on the bottom right corner of you computer screen you would see an icon indicating the status of caps lock.
In case you do not get see the icon ,then you need to install Quick set application From the link below

SOLUTION THAT WORKED FOR ME (Vista 7 home premium OS, Dell Inspiron 15R M5010R):
- from start menu, type ease of access in the search box
- In the Ease of Access panel, goto make keyboard easier to use
- check the 'turn on toggle keys' (this allows for sound notifications) - save changes
- from start button/run, type in msconfig (opens the system configuration dialog box)
- under the startup tab, find Dell Quickset. if checked, uncheck (this will shutoff the onscreen notification when capslock button is pressed) - save changes
- REBOOT (all of the above changes require reboot to be effective)
