Troubleshooting

my inspiron 510m laptop does not recognize the hard drive and is asking me to use the driver asnd utilities cd which i dont have.how can i get out of this mess?

Have a tech look at it.

This could be any number of issues but most likely the hard disk has failed. I cannot properly diagnose it over a one-way forum such as this. It will save you time and grief to just have a local tech check it.
