Why Dies The Coffee Drip Onto The Lid And All Over The Counter?

It could be one of two reasons. First, make sure the coffeepot is sitting on it's base properly and is pushed in all the way. If that is done, make sure there are no coffee grinds clogging up the drip mechanism. I suggest cleaning the coffeepot, filter basket and drip mechanism thoroughly, then see if the problem stops. Lastly, don't put too many grinds into the filter basket as it could cause the coffee to overflow and spill.
