Ltx 1042 Timed Deck Pto Cable Connection

I have a ltx 1042 with the TINED DECK. The PTO cable has become disconnected from the spring end and I cannot figure out the correct place to connect the spring to the idler pully bracket. I tried it over the bracked next to the blade brake but it does not allow for full disingagement of the blade when connected to that point. Any help is appreciated, Joe
