Exchange Transmission

My transmission went out on my gxt1054 and I was wondering if a ltx 1042 transmission would work?

No - It won't work

The Cub Cadet LTX1042 KW is equipped with a 0.6 L (36.8 cu·in) V-twin gasoline engine and a belt-driven hydrostatic transmission with infinite forward and reverse gears. The Cub Cadet LTX 1042 KW lawn tractor used the Kawasaki FR600V engine.
