Can You Use A Trickle Charger To Charge Battery On Cc 760es?

I have a trickle charger with 12 volt 2 amp and a 12 volt 40 amp charging settings. Can this be used to charge the battery on my CC 760 ES? If so can I hook right up to the battery without removing it from the mower?

I regularly charge my lawn tractor with a stand-alone charger-- just clip the charger to the battery terminals. My charger has a 1.5 amp setting, and I use that.

As far as the CubCadet 760es I'll let you know-- it's charging that way as I type. I don't expect any issues.

In either case, the battery is a 'small' size, so I don't use the higher current setting-- that's for a full-size automobile battery.
