What is the best all-around phone for Cricket Wireless?

What phone will I get the best bang for the buck with using Cricket Wireless? I don't trust the recommendations they give in their stores. I need texting and to check my email. Don't care about all of the other bells and whistles.

The blackberry is probably one of their better phones, especially for email and texting.

I would go with the blackberry; I actually have one with Cricket myself.
