When I Open A Category On Craigslist Like Furniture Or Motorcycles, For Instance

I can't see a photo in any boxes. If I click on an individual item , then I can get an item picture. But, there is NO lead in picture showing ???

That's one of the many deficiencies of Craigslist's system. Take a look at http://www.searchtempest.com/, which will provide many useful filters, will let you search country-wide and even globally, and covers Craigslist and many other sources. You'll find other good suggestions at http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/5-mashups-to-make-craigslist-even-more-useful/.
