You can try one of two things. The easiet thing to do is to create a second listing in the garage sale category. Craigslist may stop you from doing that because they usually do not let you post the same ad twice. But it's worth a shot because it may work.

The second option is to delete your current ad and wait a couple of hours. If you try to repost it in another category right away, they may tell you that you already have a similar ad and you cannot double post. But after it's deleted for a few hours, you should be able to put your ad in the garage sale category.

To place it in the correct spot on Craigslist, click on the "for sale" category choice when they ask you what type of posting it is. Then you can choose "garage sales" on the next page.
