You really can't. Sorry. The good news is that these holds typically last only a few days or so.

Craigslist may have been reacting to user flags, which even when not justified can result in holds.

Or not. Craigslist states:

Postings may be removed or omitted from index pages and search results by automated systems, craigslist staff, or community moderation, for reasons including failure to comply with terms of use, posting guidelines, and/or community norms.
