Texting

I have a camera posted on Craigslist. I did not include my phone number. Someone is texting me 'interested' in the camera. It says, "Hello, is it still available for sale? Sent free from TextNow.com. I think it is a scam and I don't know how this person got my phone number to text me. Help, please. Thank you.

I don't think you need much help. If you have any doubt (as you properly do), just ignore the message. There are a variety of ways in which scammers can obtain phone numbers as well as email addresses and other like information.
