Why Do They Keep Deleting My Post For A Computer For Sale

i keep posting an ad for a computer and they keep deleting it...i do include my phone number is that why? but i have many ads with my phone number and they are fine. please advise.

The advice to "make sure your ad stays within craigslist guidlines" is more easily said than done. Craigslist is replete with rules and regulations. They're not particularly easy to find, they're not all in one place, and, worst of all, some of the most crucial ones are not in print at all.

Craigslist states:

Posts may be removed or omitted from index pages and search results by automated systems, CL staff, or community moderation -- for non-compliance with terms of use, site guidelines, and/or community norms.

It's not possible from the information you've provided to discern the source of the problem. And it might not be possible under any circumstances; Craigslist's determinations often seem arbitrary.

You can have phone numbers in your ad. They are being deleted because someone is flagging your posts. They may be internet delinquents who find it funny to try to negatively affect another person's business, or they may genuinly find something wrong with your ad (more often the earlier.) Make sure your ad stays within craigslist guidlines. You can read them in the FAQ here: http://www.craigslist.org/about/help/faq .
