Craig List Access Code

Dear Sir On our residence telephone number 718-544-4876, somebody called and told us that they are calling from federal communication commission and your number will be omitted from a list of tel marketing list of numbers. They told us some body will call us and give us a code for that. After a few minutes a call came and the tape gave us a Craig list access code. After 5 minutes the first person again called us and asked us the code given to us by the Craig list so that that your number could be removed from the list of tel marketers. We gave the code to the person as he mentioned from the Federal Government (FCC). We are suspicious about these calls and your requested to look into it and advise us and protect us under the above. You have not reached Craigslist but an independent help site. It appears that the person who called you was trying to use your phone number to open a new Craigslist account.
