Reverse Safety Shut-off Switch/wiring.

I have a Craftsman rear engine riding mower model # 001 that is out of warranty. When mowing forward then shifting to reverse the mower used to shut-off. Now it keeps running when in reverse and the blade is still turning. Where is the safety switch and/or wiring (color?) located so I can correct this problem? Put in a new switch or repair/reconnect the wiring? I don't have the money for a serviceman and I can most likely fix it myself. I would really appreciate your feed back.Thank you.

Safety Interlock Switch Locations

1) Brake - inside the frame, next to the brake pedal
2) DECK/PTO - underneath the fuel tank, at the base of the dash assembly
3) SEAT - underneath seat
4) REVERSE - on top of the transmission or next to F-N-R shift lever.
