Zts 6000 Lawn Tractor Belt Keeps Coming Off.

I have a Craftsman zts 6000 zero turn mower and after about 5 minutes of cutting the belt that rotates the blades keeps coming off. I bought a replacement belt thinking that would fix it, but it keeps happening. I am wondering if the spring that is attached to the adjustable tension pulley is going bad but am not sure. The mower is about three years old.
