International Travel-baggage Allowance -break In The Journey Thanks Passenger

I am flying within USA just prior to an international travel.I want to check in my baggages but break my journey in a major city in USAfor just TWO nights.Do you advice that I check in the baggage for a domestic travel and rebook the luggage adfter my work for TWO nights are over in the major US city. Would INTERNATIONAL BAGGAGE allowance for a business class traveller apply and if yes from when? A Passenger
