My F700 Will Not Read Cd's.

Your Compaq Presario F700 cannot read your CD media because there might be a problem with the CD media or the CD drive. You have to troubleshoot it by following these steps.

1. Insert a new and working CD/DVD media to your DVD ROM. If it worked, there is a problem with the previous CD media. It might be scratched or damaged in any way.

2. If the new CD did not work, there is a problem with the DVD ROM drive. You have to let the computer expert do the troubleshooting and replacement.
