How Can I Delete Multiple (all) Dvr Recordings?

My DVR inexplicably has saved literally hundreds of instances of the same 6-7 PM, 2/5/10 program. None is playable (they seem to be "empty" or otherwise unusable), yet my total DVR capacity is suspiciously at 97% capacity. I would like to wipe clean all my existing DVR recordings and get back to 0% used capacity.
