Just plug the phone in to another jack. Old school landline wiring in homes can easily support 4 or 5 phones - probably more if they are modern phones.

If your home is wired for two separate phone lines / separate numbers then you may need to reconfigure the plug or jack wires to allow the phone to use the correct line/number.

If you don't care, or you only have a single line/number then just plug it in. It will work just fine.

if you have additional wire, you can move by yourself

If you need to have your Comcast landline phone service moved to a different location within your kitchen, you can follow these steps to request the relocation:

  1. Contact Comcast customer support: Reach out to Comcast customer support to initiate the process of moving your landline phone service. You can do this by calling their customer service number or using their online chat support.
  2. Provide necessary details: When speaking with a customer service representative, provide them with your account information, including your name, address, and current phone number. Explain that you would like to relocate your landline phone service to a different location within your kitchen.
  3. Discuss the new location: Describe the specific location within your kitchen where you want the landline phone service to be moved. Provide details such as the desired wall or counter where the new phone jack or base station should be installed.
  4. Schedule an appointment: Comcast will typically schedule a technician visit to your home to handle the relocation. Coordinate with the customer service representative to set a convenient date and time for the technician to visit your home and perform the necessary work.
  5. Prepare the area: Before the technician arrives, ensure that the area where the phone service will be relocated is clear and accessible. Remove any obstacles or items that could hinder the installation process.
  6. Technician visit: On the scheduled appointment day, a Comcast technician will come to your home and install the necessary phone jack or base station in the new location. They will also ensure that the phone service is properly connected and functioning.
